Yes, eating in China is really cheap. But we need to understand that, in general, the concept of restaurant is pretty different. When in other articles I used the word functionality I should have related it to restaurants. "Quality" and speed are the base of any chinese restaurant. If there no table cloth, glasses are paper cups or the waitress is on some sort of pijamas and sleepers... all these details are veeeery secondary.
And since nothing explains it better than an image, here you have an example of one of the restaurants we usually go to. In fact, we could say it is a garage turned into a restaurant, but their noodles are just incredible, and they cost 5 yuan (70 cents). On top of that, as you'll see in the vídeo, their home-made and fresh as can be! What else can you ask for?!
