GUILINFamosa pels seus massissos kàrstics, aquests turons rodegen tota la ciutat i fins i tot se'n troben al bell mig, omplint-la de verd. De totes maneres aquestes formacions rocoses es concentren sobretot al Sud de la ex capital de província al llarg del riu Li.
Guilin significa "bosc d'osmanthus", uns arbres d'aroma agradable que acompanyen el recoregut del riu.
El cert és que la fotografia no s'acosta ni de tros al què realment percep la vista en directe. La raresa d'aquestes muntanyes rodejades d'aigua, amb aquestes formes arrodonides tan diferents del nostre entorn natural omplen aquest lloc d'una autenticitat exitant. És un veritable plaer per la vista.
La ciutat és una de les més boniques que he visitat fins ara. Per les muntanyes que l'omplen i l'envolten, el riu que és vida i on la gent hi fa vida, la vida nocturna, el clima... Als ulls d'un occidental crec que és exotisme pur. Val la pena fer-hi una visita...

Famouse for its karstic massives, these hills surround the city and even fill it, giving it a beautiful touch of green. Anyway, these rock formations are more concentrated at the south of this former province-capital and along the river Li.
Guilin means "Osmanthus forest", and this kind of tree of singular perfume follow the river course through the city.
The truth is photography isn't capable of explaining what the human eye sees in reality. The rareness of these mountains surrounded by water and their round shapes so different to the ones we know, give this piece of earth a very special authenticity. It's a real pleasure for the eyes.
The city is one of the most beautiful I have visited so far. Because of its mountains, the river, its night life, the weather... To any occidental I think it's pure exotism. It's worth it a visit.
