El Tibet, amb una extensió de 1.200.000km2, representa gairebé el 12% del territori xinès. Amb una altitud mitjana que supera els 4000m2 d'altura, l'aire enrereït exigeix un temps d'aclimatació. En altres paraules, independentment de la forma física de cadascú, el primer dia, pujar dos esglaons és motiu d'esgotament...
Com haureu apreciat a les fotografies, és un lloc extraordinari tant per la seva bellesa natural i la seva riquesa cultural. Però està canviant i ha canviat molt, i goso dir-ho sense haver-hi estat abans... No em posaré a criticar la presència xina al territori per diverses raóns. La primera, perquè no vull que em tanquin ;). No, seriosament, és un tema molt delicat. Xina ha aportat al Tibet riquesa, progrés, carreteres, aeroport (dels quals me n'e beneficiat jo el primer...)... Però, a quin preu? Aquí és quan es nota el canvi, la presència de la cultura xinesa, el plàstic i el consumisme i sobretot la llengua. La població tibetana sembla aferrar-se a la seva cultura i tradicions, fent ús dels temples, en funcionament gràcies als monjos. Però, la pregunta és per exemple si d'aquí, diguem 3 generacions, el tibetà es continuarà parlant. I tot i que l'impressió no és gaire bona, tampoc em puc mullar massa, ja que no sé com està el sistema educatiu... Una altre dubte: recuperaran mai el seu líder espiritual ara a la Índia? Mentre es defineixi com a líder polític, segur que no... Què en penseu?
En fi, ha estat una experiència inolvidable. Un lloc que t'omple tots els sentits, però que en certs moments t'entristeix. I potser fins i tot més essent català...

As you might have seen in the pictures, it is an extraordinary region, not only for its natural beauty, but also for its cultural richness. But it is changing and it has changed a lot, and I dare to say it even if i haven't been there before. .. I won't start crticizing chinese presence in that territory for various reasons. The first one, I don't wan to go go to jail! ;) I'm kidding. No, seriously, it's a very difficult topic. China in Tibet means Roads, a train, an airport, schools and industry (and i took advantage of all that). But at what price? here is where you see tha change, chinese presence, plastic, consumerism, and of course the language. Tibetan people seem to bo trying to cling to their culture and traditions by using, for example, the temples, now very active thanks to the monks. But the quiestion is if in let's say 3 generations, tibetan will still be spoken. An although I didn't get a very good feeling about that, I can't really say that much, because I have no clue about the education system up there... Another doubt: will their spiritual leader ever be back? while he defines himself as the political leader too, the answer is no, that's for sure. What do you think?
Anyway, it was an unforgettable experienece. A place that stimulates all your sense, but that in certain moments makes you sad. And maybe even a bit more being catalan...
